Do you want more of the kingdom of God in manifestation in your life?
Do you long for the manifestation of the Authority that is your's in Jesus?
Want to know what you can do to prepare yourself for it?
To see more manifestations of God's Kingdom, power, and authority in your
ministering, you have to cleanse the vessal of your soul/life. I want to be
sure to explain that when I use the term ministering here, I am not speaking
just of those in ordained ministry. All christians are called, anointed, and
empowered to minister as kings and priests under God's New and Better Covenant,
(see 1 PT 2:5-9, REV 1:6, REV 5:10 ) infact, those who we all too often consider
"The Ministers" are really God's gifts to the Body to prepare it to minister to
the whole world (EPH 4:11+12a).
2 TIMOTHY 2:15,19,20-22 :
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who
does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.....
... God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this description:
"The Lord knows those who are His", and "Everyone who confesses
the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."
In a large house there are articles (vessals) not only of gold and silver,
but of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble.
If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument (vessal)
for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any
good work. Flee the evil desires of youth, and persue righteousness, faith,
love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
As you can see, YOU choose which mannor of vessal you will be, God wants
glorious golden and silver vessals that He can use to dispense His blessings
and manifestations through. To cleanse yourself you need to partake of the
water of the Word of God, which is able to present you spotless.
EPHESIANS 5:25:
Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy,
cleansing her with the washing of the water of the word to present her to
himself as a radient church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish,
but holy and blameless.
So what we should seek to be full of are promises related to cleansing, and
also ones that reveal beahvior that is pleasing to God our Father. This is
important because a Clean but un-offered vessal, while capable of use, isn't a
yielded vessal. The to ensure you are used of God is to have proven to be
usefull. If He can trust us with the little things He asks us to do in the Word,
as part of our daily lives, then He will be able to trust us with the larger,
more significant things of the Kingdom. Another desire should be to emulate
Jesus' life when He was in ministry here on the earth. Jesus was ALWAYS
spending time in prayer, daily, seeking the Father's will and submitting to it.
For an example look at the passages in all of the Gospels where Jesus was
praying in the Garden. He prays, then submits:
"My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I
will, but as you will." MT 26:39.
"Abba, Father, he said, everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me.
Yet not what I will, but what you will." MK 14:36.
"My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink
it, may your will be done", MT 26: 42.
"Father if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours
be done." LK 22:42.
In general, the manifestations of the Kingdom (power, authority, dominion over
the enemy, and over nature itself) in our ministring will be directly
proportional to the manifestation of the kingdom in our own personal lives.
There is a direct coorelation between the degree of submission of our lives to
God and our possesion of them for Him (HEB 10:39), and the external
manifestation of His kingdom. How can we export the Kingdom to others, or extend
its domain over their circumstances if it hasn't been established in our own
lives? If we want the Kingdom of God in manifestation in our outward lives, it
must have great place in our inner lives. If Jesus is LORD of our thoughts, and
attitudes. If our tongues are tamed by the word of God, and controlled by our
Born Again Spirit, not the flesh, and our lives pleasing to God, then if we say
to the mountians in people's lives "MOVE" God's ability to manifest His Kingdom
through our "vessal" will be great. If our vessal is not only clean, but also
an experienced one, familiar to The One doing the work, then all that remains is
for it to have its capacity expanded. We have been granted success in our quest
to become pleasing vessals.
PSALM 25:8-10,12-14:
Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He instructs sinners in His ways.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way. All the ways of
the Lord are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of His covenant.
Who, then, is the man that reveres the Lord? He will instruct him in the way
chosen for him. He will spend his days in prosperity, and his decendants will
inherit the land. The Lord confides in those who revere Him; and makes His
covenant known to them.
Because of God's active role in our education and instruction, it is very
important what measure we use when we are confronted with the truth of the
Word. If we stubornly hold to the doctrines we grew up believing instead of
letting them go when the Word clearly tells us something different, then we
can not expect much renewal in our lives. On the other hand, if we are meek,
and teachable, moldable, if you will, by the Word, then we are indeed destined
to be mighty vessals. If the potter can mold the clay with greater ease, despite
what form it starts out in, then it can become anything He desires. But if the
clay is stiff-necked and unyeilding, He will be limited, and indeed may simply
choose to spend more of His time molding more pliable clay. God himself has
promised to teach us to walk and live in a way that totally fulfills His Will.
Faith, God's process of maturing us until we conform in all things to the
image of His Son requires faith as it's foundation. The word clearly calls us to
live a life of faith, "the just shall live by faith" (HEB 10:38). And "without
faith it is impossible to please God" because we must be able to believe that
"He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" (HEB 11:6). The area where
many christians fail, in their attempts to reach the fullness of what God has
for them, is in diligently exerting themselves to reach that goal. We often
fail because we give up without a fight, or in the midst of the fight. In our
american culture we have become too used to instant results. I find myself
expecting God, and the things of God, to be like a fast food resturant. If I
can't have it immediately I give up and go on. Now some of the things of God
are like that, salvation, for example, you don't have to wait for it. Many of
His promises are instantly fulfilled if we are in His will, and ask in faith.
But there are other things that are a process, things that require a constant
effort of belief. These are the ones that we all too often tend to let slip through
our fingers because we give up. But as we will see in the next scripture these are
often the things that bear the greatest rewards.
2 PETER 1:3-11:
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness
through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that
through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the
corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make
every effort to add to your faith goodness;
and to goodness knowledge;
and to knowledge, self-control;
and to self-control, perserverance;
and to perserverance, godliness (well-worship);
and to godliness (well woraship), brotherly kindness (philadelphia);
and to brotherly kindness (philadelphia), love (AGAPE).
For if you posses these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you
from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ. But if anyone does not have them he is nearsighted and blind,
and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
Therefore my brothers be all the more eager to make your calling and election
sure. For is you do these things, you will never fall, and will recieve a rich
welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ.
I don't know about you, but I think that always being effective and productive
in Jesus, never falling, and recieveing a Rich Welcome into Heaven are truly
things that are worth "Every Effort". They are things we should be diligent to
see accomplished in our lives. In fact as christians who are dead to sin and
alive to God, crucified to the world and awake to righteousness, we have no
other purpose on this earth than to mature, growing up in all things into Him
who is the Head, Christ Jesus. And, as we do so, to minister the Gospel of His
Kingdom. He wants to make us Perfect Ministers of His grace and righteousness.
It is important that we understand that the "effort" we are to make is not one
of flesh, but one of faith, are are to make every effort to believe, every effort to
receive, the "work" has been done by the Lord. It is HIS precious promises that
are the foundation of our growth and maturity. The fruit we bear is His, He is the
vine, we are the branches. If we seek to achieve this by flesh, or human effort,
we will both fail miserably and discourage others from believing.
EPHESIANS 1:18-20:
I pray also that the eyes of your heart (understanding) may be enlightened
in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the glorious
riches of His inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for
us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength that He
exerted in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated him at His right
hand in the heavenly realms...
COLOSSIANS 1:9-11a, 12b+13:
...asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual
wisdom and understanding.... in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord,
and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work,
GROWING in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with ALL POWER
according to His glorius might so that you may have great endurance and
patience. ..... Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in
the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of Light. For He has rescued us
from the dominion (authority) of darkness, and brought us into the Kingdom of
the son He loves....
PSALM 18:32:
It is God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect.
The greatest hope we can have is full restoration, and achieving the full
manifestation of our sonship. Restoration of the Life, Purpose, Authority,
and Dominion that God intended for us when He created Adam. We are called to
be God's children, His heirs, and to participate in bringing His will into
manifestation in this earth as His trusted children. Adam, as a friend of God,
was to bring the earth into submission to God and fill the earth with a race
of people who were obedient to and cooperating with God. As we walk obediently
we will also walk in the strength God provides. Our obedience must be based on
love for God and come through faith in His promisses. The fullness of the
salvation we are partaking of is to be totally one with God, obedient and
responsive to His will and purpose. Walking in full faith, believing all things
that He has promised, infact believing all things He says. The angels hearken
to His word to see that it is performed, when we are in the spirit, and walking
in the fullness of our sonship, we will be awaiting the Word of the Father,
ready and willing to see it performed.
To reach that state we must be fully trained in righteousness, and that comes
from His written Word. We partake of God's power by believing His Powerful
Gospel (ROM 1:16). Make a commitment to take Him at His word, that's the key to
developing a heart that is instantly ready to respond to His spoken Word.
Fill yourself with the Word of God, and confess it constantly. It will transform
you, and strengthen you so that when times of trial come you can walk right
through them in victory, strengthened with all power, according to His Glorious
Might, by the living and enduring Word of God. Then you will truly be a worker
prepared, experienced, and able to lead others through the same trials
(2 CO 1:3). Again, as with everything else in the High-Life (the Heavenly Life)
of believers, it all comes through believing, and confessing the Word of God.
You receive all that you receive from the Father in the same way you received
your Salvation:
ROMANS 10:9+10: ( My paraphrase )
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord,
and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.
For with the heart man believes unto righteousness
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
You are not saved until you confess, believing in your heart.
(All God's promises can be appropriated in the same mannor, Confession of
the promise(word), while believing in your heart that what He said is so.)
If you believe God it is credited to you (just like Abraham) as righteousness.
But confession is necessary before you will see manifestation of the promise.
Many put the manifestation of Kingdom of God in the future, and they are
right, in part, the Kingdom will not be established over all the World, and all
men, until the lease on the Earth that God gave Adam runs out, and Jesus opens
it and takes possession of it (REV 5:1-5 and REV 11:15-17), however, we have
been transfered from the dominion of darkness into His Kingdom, the Word
declares that we are Ambassadors of Christ (2 COR 5:20 (5:17-6:1)) and God's
fellow workers. We are in the World, but NOT of it, moreover, it shouldn't be
allowed to be IN us, the Kingdom of God should be in us! The word says we can
be partakers of "the Heavenly Gift", sharing "in the Holy Spirit," and
"the goodness of the Word of God and the Powers of the Comming age" (HEB 6:5).
We CAN see the manifestation of that age in our lives now, praise God for it.
So how far into the things of God do you need to go to get there? Let's look at
what Paul says is the foundation of maturity.
HEBREWS 6:1+2:
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to
maturity, not laying again the FOUNDATION of: Repentance from acts that lead to
death. And of Faith in God. Instruction about Baptisms, the laying on of hands,
the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgement.
The things that many christians see as the "whole" of christianity are really
just its foundation. Many groups do not teach any more than what is in Hebrews
Six One and Two. But it is just the fundamental foundation, its not the whole of
what God has for us, it is indeed significant stuff, but God has a lot more
in store for us. As christians we are called to turn from the behaviors that
lead to death and destruction. We are called to act in a higher mannor than what
the World is accustomed to. And when we are saved, we are faced with the fact
that our old man is still around in the form of habits, attitudes, and
reasonings. But we are called to press on in Faith to bring our lives subject
to His Word and its commands (chief of which is that we live in Love). We are
Baptized into Jesus, into His death, burial, and resurrection. We recieve water
baptism as a sign of that spiritual process. And there is, subsequent to
Salvation, a Baptism in the Spirit that is our empowerment to be witnesses to
the whole world of Jesus and the Gospel of His Kingdom. We are called to live a
life of ministry, a part of which is to lay hands on the sick, the oppressed,
and the poor, and to bless them in His Name in order to bring our faith and
God's Word into play in their lives while doing so. We look forward to the
resurrection of the dead, and the eternal judgement that will follow it,
confident in the provision of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Beyond this foundation lies the most awesome mystery of God. That He would
desire to take men and conform them totally to His image by causing them to
grow up in all things into Jesus. That He would walk with us, being in us and
upon us, to manifest His Kingdom and be Light to a World bound in darkness.
God desires for us to reign on His behalf over all things in this earth. We are
the ones He has decided to bring all things under the feet of Jesus through.
He has predestined us to prosper in all things. God doesn't want His children to
be in poverty, He wants us to Seek His Kingdom, and promises us that ALL other
things we need or could want will be added to THAT. Who wouldn't like to be able
to meet the needs of all those around them easily? Well that is His plan for you
and I. He wants to be able to bless us till we cannot contain it. Then we will
be able to take care of the widdows and orphans, there will be no poor, we will
have met their need and taught them about of Wonderful Father and His Son, and
that He wants to so prosper them that they can meet others needs. Immagine
living everyday like Jesus did, spending all your time with God, and doing His
works, having all your needs taken care of by Him, healing the sick, opening
blind eyes and deaf ears, raising the dead. Giving grieving parents their little
child back to them alive, and telling them about God your Father and His Son,
who is the Resurrection and the Life. This is your calling. Awake to It. Grab it
with your faith and don't let it go. Nurture the image of it in your heart,
confess that it is for you. Start acting like it is so, and stop acting like
mere men. Fix your desires on it, and not the distractions of the World. Set
your heart on it, move on into it, and never look back. God has called you
Heavenward in Christ Jesus, He has called you to a higher life, to a life above
the things of this earth. You and I are destined to walk in the works He has
forordained for us He has made all the provision, all He asks of us is that we
make the commitment, and exert ourselves toward that goal. He will move Heaven
and Earth to see His will accomplished in our lives if that is what it takes.
We have been promised that His Word will not return to Him void, but will
accomplish the purpose for which He sent it. We have been given the Holy Spirit
as our Constant Companion of Encouragement, Wisdom, and Counsel, to teach us.
And Jesus ever lives to intercede on our behalf in Heaven, despite the fact
that we ourselves can approach God's very throne boldly to obtain His Favor.
EPH 4:13+15
[The ministry gifts were given] Until we ALL reach unity in the faith
and in the knowledge of God's Son and become mature, attaining to the
WHOLE MEASURE of the FULLNESS of Christ...
we will grow up IN ALL THINGS into him...
COL 1:28
We procaim him, and admonish and teach everyone with all
wisdom in order to present EVERYONE PERFECT [fully mature] in Christ.
ROM 12:1+2
offer your bodies as living sacrifices, Holy and pleasing to God - which is your
spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test
and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will.
GAL 4:19
until Christ be formed in you...
ROM 8:29
those God foreknew He also predestined to conform to the image
of His son, that he [Jesus] would be the firstborn among MANY brothers.
1 CO 13:8-12
Love never fails... ... when perfection comes [when we are perfected and
conform to Love] the imperfect dissapears... ...when I became a man I put
the ways of a child behind me... ... then we shall see face to face ...
then I shall know FULLY even as I am FULLY known.
2 CO 3:18
we, having unveiled faces ALL reflect the Glory of The Lord, are being
metamorphasized into His likeness with ever increasing glory from the Lord
which is the Spirit.
1 JN 3:2
we are now the children of God, and what we will be has not been revealed yet,
but we know that when He appears we will be like Him, because we shall see
Him as He is.
1 JN 4:17
love is made complete in us so that we will have confidence on the judgement day, because in THIS world we are like Him.There is no fear in love, perfect love
forcibly repels fear.
HEB 7:11,18
If PERFECTION [Maturity, and Fullness] could have been achieved through
the priesthood of Levi (for the Law was given based on it) why was there still
the need for another Priest, one in the Order of Melchizedek ......
The former regulation is set aside for it was weak and USELESS (because
the Law made NOTHING PERFECT [Mature and Full]) and a better hope
is introduced, and it is by that hope that we draw near to God.
HEB 10:1
The Law is only a shaddow of the good things that are ariving - not those
realities themselves. Because of this it can never, by virtue of its repetative
sacrifices, make those who draw near to worship through it PERFECT...
1 PT 2:11
Dear friends, I urge you being aliens and strangers in this world, to abstain from
the desires of the flesh, which war against your soul.
COL 3:9b+
...you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self,
which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator.
HEB 1:10
In bringing many sons to glory, God, for whom and through whom everything exists, found it fitting to make the author of their salvation mature and complete through suffering.
HEB 1:18
Since he himself suffered when he was tempted,
he is able to help those who are suffering temptation.
HEB 4:14+
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not
have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we
have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without
sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may
recieve mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
1 PT 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He
has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade -
kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the
coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
PROVERBS 4:18
The path of the righteous is like the dawning of the day,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
PSALM 18:32
It is God that girds me with strength and makes my way perfect.
PROVERBS 16:9
In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
ISAIAH 2:3
He will teach us His ways, so that we can walk in His Paths.
If you haven't yet accepted God's gift, Jesus Christ as your Savior, and
Proclaimed him as your Lord, I encourage you to pray this prayer aloud:
